As we prepare for the upcoming hockey season, the River East Minor Hockey Association (REMHA) sends out important updates regarding evaluation time slots, group assignments, and team scheduling via automated communications.
We have noticed that several email providers—most notably Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN—are placing REMHA emails into Junk or Spam folders, or blocking them entirely.
To ensure you do not miss critical scheduling details, please take a moment to add our domain and registrar email to your safe senders list using the instructions below.
Instructions for Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN Users
1. Check Your Junk/Spam Folder
-
Log into your email account via a web browser (at [suspicious link removed]).
-
Open your Junk Email folder.
-
Look for any emails sent from achan@remha.ca or ending in @remha.ca.
-
Select the email and click Report > Not Junk (or click "It's safe" in the banner at the top of the message).
2. Add REMHA to Your Safe Senders List
-
Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner of Outlook on the web.
-
Select Mail from the left menu, then click Junk email.
-
Under Safe senders and domains, click + Add.
-
Type remha.ca into the text box and press Enter.
-
Type achan@remha.ca into the text box and press Enter.
-
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
3. Save as a Contact
-
Open the People / Contacts tab in Outlook.
-
Click Add a contact.
-
Save achan@remha.ca as a contact named REMHA Registrar.
Instructions for Other Email Providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail)
While Microsoft accounts are most heavily affected, all members are encouraged to take these preventive measures:
-
Gmail: If a REMHA email lands in your "Promotions" or "Spam" tab, drag and drop it directly into your "Primary" tab. Click "Yes" when Gmail asks if you want to do this for future messages.
-
Apple Mail / iCloud: Open the email in your Junk folder, select the folder icon, and move it to your Inbox.
-
Save Contact: Adding achan@remha.ca to your phone or email provider's main address book prevents almost all automated filters from blocking future updates.
If you have completed these steps and suspect you are still missing schedule updates, please check the main website at www.remha.ca for posted schedules and announcements.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our communications running smoothly.
