REMHA Spectator Incident Discipline Policy

Any spectator that is ejected from any of the arenas used by the River East Minor Hockey Association (River East, Terry Sawchuk, Gateway, East St Paul) by an official, president/vice president or playoff convenor will be subject to subsequent discipline effective immediately.

Safety officers and/or managers of the REMHA team MUST report ejections to the President of River East Minor Hockey Association within 24 hours of the incident to remhahockey@gmail.com. Failure by the team officials (safety officer/manager) to report such incidents will result in a suspension of the head coach and/or a fine imposed on the offending team.

Spectators that have been ejected from any of the arenas used by River East Minor Hockey Association by an official, president/vice president or playoff convenor will serve a 5 game/21 day suspension (which ever is first) from attending any sanctioned team event (practices and games). Any spectator ejected during playoffs will be suspended for the duration of the playoffs. Failure to comply will result in suspension of the offending family’s player and/or a fine imposed on the team. In addition, a trespass order will be in place involving the Winnipeg Police Service.

Spectators are there to support our athletes and cheer them on in a positive manner. At no time is it acceptable for any spectator to be abusing officials or coaches to the point where they have been asked to leave an arena for their behaviour.
